FAQ

When did you realize you wanted to become an author? When I realized I could read. I've always loved writing and creating stories, and once I had written one that I really liked, I sent it off to publishers.

Where do you get your ideas? Wherever I find them hiding. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to catch them!

What would you say to another young writer? First of all, if you're looking to get a book published, have patience. It can take a long time to find a publisher and secure a deal with them. Secondly, be as creative as possible. I know that as a young writer it can be especially hard to balance your schoolwork, sports, and whatever else you may have going on in your life, but remember to never shy away from your imagination. If your parents think your idea is lame, ignore them. They are not authors or children. Unless, of course, they are, in which case you should probably listen to them (if they are authors, that is; if they are children, you should probably be rethinking your life). And finally, be brave. Don't worry about what other people will think. That's your editor's job. Just have faith, and be confident.

What inspires you? I'm inspired by a bunch of things, but normally it's just random things people say or do.

I'm interested in working with you on a project. Can I? I normally don't work on projects with other authors or illustrators outside of my connections, but maybe (just maybe) I might. You can definitley send me a message if you're interested.

Will you review my book? Of course! I love seeing what other authors are writing! I'll review most books I get sent, but I don't review every one, and I may take a few days to respond.

I want to ask you a different question. How? You can go to the menu and click CONTACT, where you can send me your own message (or just thank me for being so very great; don't worry—I'll remain humble).
